Hi, I am trying to use a Netezza external table, to overcome the poor performance of INSERTS into a regular Netezza table. I am creating the table successfully, using the SAMEAS option to clone the schema from another table (the actual table into which I want to perform the inserts). I am then able to inert into the external table, using the normal INSERT syntax. However, when I try to transfer the data from the external table, back into the regular table, I find that only one row is present in the external table (generally, the most recent insert). I have been able to verify this behaviour using a GUI client to perform the relevant SQL, so I don't think it's a bug in my code.
I'd be incredibly grateful if anybody could shed some light on this behaviour
