How to install eclipse in ubuntu

Follow the below steps for installing eclipse in ubuntu operating system (Note: need an internet connection)

    • Go to “UBUNTU Software center” and search for eclipse.
    • Click on it and u will see install button. Click install and enter your password.
    • Eclipse will be automatically installed and a icon appears in the Quick launcher

Click on the eclipse icon in the quick launcher. If you are running this on a 64bit Ubuntu, Eclipse will not open and show you a error pop up. If you get the error then open the Terminal and execute the below command:

    ln -s /usr/lib/jni/libswt-* ~/.swt/lib/linux/x86_64/
